An anonymous Bitcoin donor has paid over $520,000 for Julian Assange to travel by private jet, following his release this week. The total cost was covered by 8 BTC, to assist the WikiLeaks co-founder in returning home after a 14-year extradition battle with the United States.

Assange was officially released from Belmarsh prison in the UK on June 24. The Australian editor reached a plea deal with the US and was able to travel by private jet to Saipan in the Northern Mariana Islands.

Following his release, an anonymous donor contributed over $500,000 in BTC for Julian Assange, allowing him to travel by private jet. This donation is a miracle, and it enables Assange to avoid further expenses. The generous donation will help the Assange family reduce their debt after a long and costly legal battle.

Julian’s wife, Stella Assange, launched a crowdfunding campaign to raise enough funds for the “forced” charter flight from Australia to Saipan. In a post announcing the fundraising efforts, Stella told followers, “Freedom is not free,” referring to the substantial debt.

Just 10 hours after the donation was announced, 8 BTC was contributed, almost scoring a goal. However, Stella also received over £380,000 in donations during the fundraising campaign. This generosity will enable Julian Assange to reunite with his family without debt.

All eyes are now on the entity responsible for the donation. Some on X (formerly Twitter) have speculated that Andrew Tate may be the driving force behind the money. So far, no one has come forward. There is currently not enough information to determine who may have donated the cryptocurrency.
