The asset’s trading price is currently 13% lower than the peak of $63,676.27. Despite the setback, Bitcoin has witnessed a recovery, as the asset rose nearly 9% in the past week.
However, Bitcoin is expected to see a significant surge in the coming months. Some institutions predict that Bitcoin could skyrocket to a peak of $100,000 by 2025. The real question is how the asset will surge 58% as the year-end approaches.

Reviewing Bitcoin’s historical performance, it is expected that the asset will perform well in the previous quarter. Data shows that BTC has performed well in 7 out of 11 quarters. Last year, the king coin soared over 56% in the previous quarter. Additionally, the fourth quarter is considered the most bullish. Bitcoin’s average quarterly return rate is 88%.

Impact of the US Election
But that’s not all. The cryptocurrency industry could undergo a fundamental shift after the next US election. In a recent interview with Bloomberg, Anthony Scaramucci of Skybridge Capital identified two key factors that will help Bitcoin rise to $100,000. This includes lower interest rates after the November US election and more specific industry regulations. He added, “We will get legislation supporting cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, and stablecoins in the first part of the next US congressional term. You’re intersecting that with the interest rate cuts from the Fed.”
Bitcoin Cycle
Furthermore, the typical Bitcoin cycle begins around 170 days after the halving. Since the halving on April 19, 2024, 155 days have passed, indicating that there are only two weeks left for the bull market cycle to resume. Based on the same data point, if this rebound starts within the next two weeks, it will reach its peak around 480 days after the halving, which means August 12, 2025, is when Bitcoin could reach its maximum value.
