Macro trader and economist Alex Krüger stated that the current macro environment is favorable for risk assets such as Bitcoin (BTC), other cryptocurrencies, and stocks. Kruger expressed his optimism for Bitcoin’s prospects by the end of the year in an interview with Jeff Dorman, Chief Investment Officer of investment firm Arca, stating, “I remain very optimistic on Bitcoin by year-end. If it really happens… it carries everything, it makes sense. When Bitcoin goes up, usually everything goes up. It’s that simple.” At the time of writing, Bitcoin’s trading price was $61,478. Kruger believes that the prices of risk assets may continue to rise in the coming months. “In the medium term, say by 2025, the market should continue to rise. In this scenario, the market is the S&P 500, Nasdaq, risk assets, stocks, and exchange-traded funds (ETFs), which will ultimately permanently link Bitcoin and Ethereum to the macro side. This correlation will come and go. It definitely exists.” Regarding when an opportunity to enter risk assets will arise, Kruger said, “This is an environment where risk assets perform very, very well. My macro view for year-end is that, leaving aside the (US election), which is very, very important, and will drive very significant volatility, it shouldn’t drive very large volatility, and I think that will provide a very good entry point for risk assets.”
