In spite of the ongoing debates surrounding the true identity of Satoshi, the elusive founder of Bitcoin, an extensive 120-page email exchange between Nakamoto and his former partner, Martti Malmi, has shed light on the early stages of Bitcoin’s creation.
Nakamoto’s Worries
Recently, Chinese legislator Colin Wu shared this correspondence on Wu Blockchain, a popular cryptocurrency social account on X. Initially, it was presented as “evidence” supporting Craig Wright’s claim to being the original creator of Bitcoin.
Emails as Courtroom Proof
As detailed in Wu’s post, this conversation hinted at a disagreement between Nakamoto and Malmi regarding investments. Wu had previously cautioned about the immense power of Bitcoin, which seemed to challenge Nakamoto. The email exchange between Nakamoto and Malmi was published between 2009 and 2011.
These emails, which Nakamoto initially hesitated to make public due to the ongoing Wright trial, have now become legal evidence. However, they do not provide concrete proof of Satoshi Nakamoto’s true identity. Nonetheless, they offer a glimpse into the visionary mind and concerns of the mastermind behind Bitcoin.
