Mr. Savage Sets New Guinness World Record in Fortnite

Mr. Savage, a former Fortnite pro, set a new Guinness World Record for eliminating an opponent in a Fortnite match from a distance of more than 1 km.

During the challenge in partnership with Red Bull, Mr. Savage tolerated the freezing temperatures in Lofoten, Norway. He sat outside in the snow as he aimed to eliminate opponents in a Battle Royale match from various distances. Mr. Savage, who has almost 4M subscribers on YouTube, eventually moved his monitor over 1 km away in his final attempt.

MrSavage used a telescope to play Fortnite at a distance of 1 km

On March 22, MrSavage unveiled his Fortnite world record attempt in a YouTube video titled, ‘I DID THE LONGEST ELIMINATION IN GAMING (IN REAL LIFE).’ He started the challenge with a typical setup. This included keeping his headphones, keyboard, and mouse positioned at a standard distance of 30cm. He progressively increased the distance after each successful kill. After securing his first elimination he moved over 3m, 15m, and then 500m.

Upon reaching the 500m mark, MrSavage had to use a telescope to view the monitor. “I mean guys I can’t believe we are even trying this,” he stated before landing a kill using the screen positioned across a wide body of water.

In his final attempt, MrSavage was at a distance of 1,161.31m, on a snowy piece of land. “This is actually really hard, I can’t see anything,” the streamer admitted.
