Coin World reports:
The “Play to Airdrop” event for the Overwatch-style shooting game BloodRoop was launched at the Epic Games Store on PC.
The 5v5 hero shooting game is now available for purchase through the Epic Games Store, making this avalanche-based game stand out among its 75 million monthly active player base. In order to increase visibility and reward early players testing the game, the project launched the first season of the “Play to Airdrop” event.
Players can now log into BloodRoop to complete daily and weekly tasks and earn points. These points will then place users in a level, and at the end of the event, this level will be related to the number of tokens a player will airdrop.
Players may be eager to log into BloodRoop servers, but they are not always real-time. BloodRoop’s servers will run from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. UTC daily until June 30th.
Nyan Heroes deployed a similar strategy as early as March when it was listed on the Epic Games Store. This move reportedly helped the game break into the top 30 in the store, with over 200,000 downloads. Similarly, the shooter with injected cryptocurrency tokens can only be played during certain windows in the early access period.
BloodRoop announced its “Play to Airdrop” event on March 4th, and ultimately launched the Avalanche token on June 10th.
An official tweet stated, “Millions of BLS have been reserved as rewards, dynamically allocated between players based on their performance.” “It’s not about how much time you spend farming, but how much progress you make in the game within the available time.”
