According to reports, Sean “Diddy” Combs has been transferred to the same prison in Brooklyn where Sam Bankman-Fried is being held.
As reported by NBC New York, both SBF and Diddy are currently at the Metropolitan Detention Center. According to original sources speaking with NBC, the unit houses approximately 19 to 20 inmates, including high-profile defendants and cooperators who require protection.
Combs was arrested on charges related to sex trafficking, while Sam Bankman-Fried, a former cryptocurrency executive, was extradited to the U.S. after being arrested in the Bahamas on seven criminal charges. These charges include violations of campaign finance laws, money laundering, securities fraud, commodities fraud, and wire fraud.
As for Diddy, he was unable to secure bail last week as he awaits trial on federal charges. To date, the rapper has not entered a plea to the charges. The music mogul has been incarcerated in New York City since his arrest at a Manhattan hotel on September 16.
