The popular multi-chain DEX, PancakeSwap, has announced a major community reward program running from July 5 to August 5.
As part of this initiative, PancakeSwap will distribute over 2.45 million zkSync (ZK) tokens to its community members, in gratitude for their support of the zkSync PancakeSwap deployment since July 2023. The airdrop in question aims not only to reward long-term contributors but also to incentivize newcomers actively participating in PancakeSwap.
According to the official blog post, veCAKE holders and past contributors are eligible to participate in the airdrop. Qualified users need to connect their wallets to the PancakeSwap platform homepage and claim ZK tokens following the pop-up notification guide.
Meanwhile, unclaimed tokens will be reallocated to the PancakeSwap ecosystem for any upcoming developments and community projects.
The exchange’s team states that since its debut on the Ethereum second-layer network zkSync Era last summer, the exchange has made significant progress. During this period, the DEX implemented key features such as seamless swaps, yield farming, prediction markets, fiat ramps, position managers, and syrup pools.
These efforts have helped it surpass $3 billion in trading volume, lock in millions of dollars in total value, and attract over 1.9 million traders.
