As the player group of PixelTap, a Telegram-based game, continues to grow, the cyberpunk-themed crypto game ecosystem, Pixelverse, is launching a token on the Telegram Open Network (TON).
PixelTap is a click-based combat game that allows you to earn coins in the game to upgrade the robots you bring into battle. During battles, you frantically tap on a part of the screen to attack the opponent’s robot and also perform special attacks to defend yourself.
But Pixelverse is not just its Telegram game, it also offers a browser-based fighter in the same universe. This game, called Pixelverse, is currently in the “early access” stage, preparing for the alpha version.
Pixelverse stated that it has accumulated 35 million players so far, with most of them seemingly playing PixelTap as the Telegram gaming space expands further.
The token of Pixelverse will be using the stock code PIXFI, with a total supply of 5 billion, which is crucial for the ecosystem. According to official documents, PIXFI will be used for transactions, crafting, and battles within Pixelverse.
Telegram’s link to the TON network is the home of the largest 3 gaming projects that utilize the application. Notcoin, Hamster Kombat, and Catizen are all built on the network, with Notcoin successfully launching NOT in May, becoming the largest gaming token of 2024.
Pixelverse responded in a statement, “TON and Telegram are paving the way for mass adoption of cryptocurrencies, and we are thrilled to be a part of this journey.”
