According to reports from CoinWorld, Russia has produced more robot-assisted content related to the upcoming U.S. presidential election than any other country. A U.S. intelligence official claimed that this operation aims to support Republican candidate Donald Trump and discredit Democratic vice-presidential candidate Kamala Harris.
The official spoke anonymously during a briefing about the use of artificial intelligence by Russia and other countries to influence the election scheduled for November 5. The artificial intelligence content from Moscow is said to be synchronized with ongoing promotional efforts for Trump as a candidate. This content reportedly includes stories intended to undermine Harris and the Democratic Party.
The intelligence official also noted that the materials released by Russia contain conspiracy theories, indicating that Russia is attempting to manipulate public perception to some extent.
While other countries are also engaging in similar activities, Russia’s use of artificial intelligence in election interference has been identified as the most extensive. The intelligence official revealed these events to the media but did not provide details on the information or applications used.
