Zhang Wei, Deputy Director of the Municipal Investment Promotion Service Center, stated that Shibei High-tech Park, as a distinctive industry park in Shanghai, a gathering area for private enterprise headquarters, a demonstration area for digital transformation, and the core region for the construction of the National Blockchain Innovation Application Comprehensive Pilot Area, has formed a characteristic industry cluster of “cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence, blockchain,” creating a diversified carrier, complete facilities, and rich supporting resources for industrial development space, with infinite development potential.
During the discussion and visit, the leaders of Shibei High-tech Group introduced the two major projects the Shibei High-tech Park is vigorously building, namely the Digital Link Valley and Jing’an International Science and Innovation Community.
The Digital Link Valley is Shanghai’s first industrial cluster area with blockchain as the theme, serving as the core carrier area for Jing’an’s continuous construction of the “National Blockchain Innovation Application Comprehensive Pilot Area.” The project is located in Lane 288, Kangning Road, with 70,000 square meters of office space built along the river, equipped with 120,000 square meters of ecological landscape including public green areas and Jing’an Sports Park. In the future, the office space is expected to expand to 100,000 square meters, becoming a new highland for the blockchain industry in Shanghai and even nationwide. In recent years, Shibei High-tech Park has deeply focused on the blockchain industry, with over 80 blockchain companies already gathered in the Digital Link Valley.
Jing’an International Science and Innovation Community, adjacent to the intersection of the Gonghe New Road north-south viaduct and the Middle Ring Road, will be the first billion-yuan and hundred-meter high industry landmark in Shibei High-tech Park. Over the next three years, it will provide 300,000 square meters of office buildings to create a “24/7” industrial community integrating “Grade A office, new research and development, talent apartments, quality education, premium business, star-rated hotels, cultural performances, and internet celebrity check-in spots.”
