Coin World Report:
EigenLayer will lift the restrictions on the transfer of EIGEN tokens on September 30, 2024.
Stakeholders must adhere to a 7-day withdrawal period to cancel their purchase of EIGEN tokens.
The pre-listing valuation of EIGEN tokens is $3.4, with TVL dropping from $20 billion to $12 billion.
The renowned reboot protocol EigenLayer will remove the transfer restrictions on its native EIGEN tokens, allowing stakeholders to trade and transfer their tokens starting from September 30.
This is significant news, especially after months of anticipation, particularly following the recent token distribution of the protocol.
EIGEN tokens have been non-transferable.
EigenLayer has always been at the forefront of crypto innovation, enabling users to secure third-party networks and other verified services with their Ethereum (ETH). The platform’s native token, EIGEN, was launched in April and plays a crucial role in this ecosystem.
However, until now, due to restrictions following two major “dump” events, EIGEN tokens have remained non-transferable. The tokens have been locked, and stakeholders have been unable to move or trade them.
With the lifting of these restrictions, EIGEN holders, including those who received airdrop rewards, will now have the freedom to manage their assets.
For those who have staked their tokens, EigenLayer clarifies that a mandatory 7-day withdrawal period must be followed to release the pledge of EIGEN. This will introduce a slight delay before the tokens can be fully withdrawn and traded.
EigenLayer has experienced a significant outflow of funds.
In pre-listing trading, the derivative valuation of EIGEN tokens was approximately $3.4, with a fully diluted valuation of $5.4 billion.
However, despite initial success, EigenLayer has experienced a significant outflow of funds in recent months, with its total value dropping from $20 billion in June to $12 billion.
As the transfer date approaches, the future trajectory of the platform continues to be closely watched by the crypto community.
