With the official announcement of the Shanghai Blockchain International Week in 2024, a grand event in the blockchain field is about to begin in the golden autumn of October. As the highlight of this international week, the 10th Global Blockchain Summit, hosted by Wanxiang Blockchain Lab, will be held on October 17th at the Shanghai Innovation and Creative Design Institute, bringing unprecedented experience to participants with its unique academic style and profound cultural history of the venue.
In addition to the abundant content as always, this summit also stands out in the choice of the venue. The former site of the Rexdale Institute is not only a building that carries historical memories but also a castle full of artistic charm. Built in 1934, the Rexdale Institute is a perfect blend of the Gothic Revival and decorative arts styles, and its typical architectural style allows every visitor to feel the charm of European castles. Founded according to the will of Henry Rexdale, a British architect and developer, this top-level institute witnesses the development of science and technology education in modern China and also carries the deep affection of international entrepreneurs for the people of Shanghai. Now, after a year of “repairing the old as the old,” the historic building has been transformed into the Shanghai Innovation and Creative Design Institute, promoting industrial upgrading and sustainable development through interdisciplinary innovation for the future.
Here, you will feel the intersection of historical context and cutting-edge innovation. Gothic architecture, contemporary original designs, hundred-year-old classrooms, future technology laboratories… Every step feels like traveling through time, returning to university classrooms. You will listen to the pioneering insights of the blockchain industry leaders, chat with peers and enthusiasts about technological dreams, and explore application innovation.
In the upcoming Shanghai Blockchain International Week (October 11th to 19th), in addition to the 10th Global Blockchain Summit, a series of exciting side events will also be held, including technical sharing, cutting-edge project demonstrations, art markets, and academic seminars. These activities aim to present a three-dimensional and diverse Shanghai to blockchain enthusiasts from all over the world, allowing them to experience the power of technology, feel the weight of history, and jointly explore the future and development of blockchain technology.
Looking back at the past Global Blockchain Summits, each one has witnessed important historical milestones in the development of blockchain in China and even the world. Starting from the “Blueprint of the Blockchain New Economy” in 2015 to “Next Stop, Web3.0” in 2023, each topic closely follows the pulse of the times and leads the industry trend. The 10th Global Blockchain Summit will continue to write a new chapter in the blockchain industry in the blend of history and innovation. Let us gather in Shanghai in the golden autumn of October and jointly open this feast of the blockchain industry!
