1. What do you think of Ethereum’s ZK L2 system TAIKO, which is also supported by Vitalik?
I had some understanding of this project earlier, but I haven’t followed it closely since then. Overall, I couldn’t perceive its characteristics, so I didn’t pay much attention to it. Additionally, due to my limited time, energy, and resources, I did not participate in this project for profit.
Vitalik often mentions various projects in his articles, and some people may think that he is endorsing these projects. However, I don’t see it that way. I think sometimes he purely evaluates a project from a technical perspective.
There are many such cases in his articles.
For example, the Loopring team used ZK technology to create a decentralized exchange a long time ago. At that time, Vitalik mentioned this exchange on various occasions. From a technical perspective, this exchange was indeed cutting-edge in the given scenario. It was probably the first decentralized exchange to use ZK technology at that time.
From a technical perspective, it was appropriate for Vitalik to mention it, and his purpose was also clear: to promote and encourage the widespread use of ZK technology in the Ethereum ecosystem.
However, I did not buy the tokens of this exchange because ZK technology was still immature at that time, and the exchange had significant limitations in terms of scalability, making it significantly less competitive than Uniswap.
The development and growth of a project depend on many factors, and technology is just one of them. Therefore, I think it is important to study and understand the projects mentioned by Vitalik, especially in terms of technological foresight and guidance. However, whether to participate in these projects should be based on independent judgment.
2. Why does this bull market feel difficult?
I think it entirely depends on how you define a bull market.
If I use my standards, since the collapse of the previous bull market, a new bull market has not yet arrived because neither Bitcoin nor Ethereum has reached new all-time highs (only Bitcoin surpassed the previous historical peak).
Historically, bull markets usually emerge around six months after the halving of Bitcoin. If we look at it from a historical perspective, this bull market may not arrive until after October this year.
It is still June, so there is no need to worry or find this bull market particularly difficult to endure.
As always, we need to be patient before the bull market arrives.
3. Has Li Ka-shing left the mainland too early or too late after ten years?
Li Ka-shing is a businessman I greatly admire.
I don’t like to comment on such respected figures based on popular online sentiments. I have always believed that as long as someone abides by the law and makes significant contributions to charity, there is nothing to criticize. Based on this alone, Li Ka-shing has made more contributions to society than most people can make in their lifetime.
Earlier, I saw a piece of news online: in February this year, officials from Li Ka-shing’s hometown visited him in Hong Kong.
The details reported by foreign media mentioned that Li Ka-shing politely replied (roughly): whenever there is an opportunity, he will definitely contribute to his hometown and country again.
I believe that this statement clearly indicates Li Ka-shing’s own view on whether he left the mainland too early or too late.
4. How is AMPL doing?
I bought this token during the previous bull market, and I also received governance tokens as an airdrop for providing liquidity. Therefore, it left a deep impression on me.
However, when the last bull market approached its peak, I sold all of my holdings. I did not see any significant innovations or new directions for the project afterward, so I haven’t bought it again and gradually forgot about this project.
