CoinDesk reported:
When it comes to speculation, I am not limited to Atomicals. I explore different opportunities every day and always adhere to the principle of “speculating on the new, not the old.”
In the past few years, many so-called “big opportunities” have ended in failure. I have learned my lesson from the mistakes of being overly optimistic about certain projects.
However, this time, I have made the choice to invest once again.
The first reason is that the cryptocurrency market is still in its early stages, and the overall environment encourages me to hold onto my investments for the long term.
First of all, the bull market is far from over. In my opinion, the true bull market may not arrive until 2025, and I am prepared to wait for it.
What is certain now is that this moment is definitely not the end.
The second reason is the enduring and certain narrative of the Bitcoin ecosystem.
I have repeatedly explained why these five words will become significant in the future, and why Atomicals is an indispensable part of the Bitcoin ecosystem. These reasons have given me the confidence to hold onto my investments through different price periods.
Thirdly, the Atomicals protocol is truly impressive.
I won’t dwell on the details of CX today. It has been demonstrated numerous times and is not the focus of this article. Those who are interested can take the time to review my previous posts.
These are just the investment perspectives that have led me to “drill” into Atomicals. On the other hand, why am I willing to personally contribute to its development? This is what sets it apart from other projects. I will share my thoughts on this matter in the following sections.
(There is not much introduction to Atomicals in this article, primarily focusing on the subjective attitudes of the builder.)
————
For me, Atomicals is truly unique. When I first entered the field of cryptocurrency, I never imagined that I would one day become a builder and contribute to the development of an investment asset by writing articles, creating websites, and promoting community building.
I believe that some of my views are shared by builders in different ecosystems, and I hope that everyone who sees themselves as a builder can resonate with this.
First, the Atomicals ecosystem today is very similar to the early days of a “great enterprise.”
An unclaimed ecosystem, a top-notch narrative, and inevitable reasons beyond just the price. A group of steadfast idealists and long-term builders who are determined to develop the Atomicals community. This determination of the Atomicals community is truly “unyielding.”
Throughout the history of blockchain development, the most significant achievements have often been made by the most steadfast idealists.
Looking at the token prices, Atom is currently at one-seventh of its peak, Quark is at one-fourth, and most other tokens are far from their highs. However, despite the price fluctuations, the core narrative of Atomicals has remained unchanged, and the reasons for the continued commitment to building the ecosystem have also remained unchanged. The belief that Bitcoin needs Atomicals, and Atomicals will inevitably have a place in the Bitcoin ecosystem, continues to encourage the community to keep building.
Every time someone in the community wavers because of price fluctuations, I always ask: What were the reasons why you held onto Quark/Atom in the first place? Have these reasons fundamentally changed?
It is interesting that although our community is often vocal and vibrant, most people are not investing in the community because of its strength. Rather, more people genuinely believe that Atomicals has something valuable.
Yes, Atomicals indeed has a lot to offer, and it continues to improve without setbacks or pauses. This consistency has been evident throughout different phases of market enthusiasm and price fluctuations.
While prices fluctuate periodically, the development of the protocol ecosystem is consistently positive. Therefore, the cyclical fluctuations are likely to reflect a combination of oscillating history and intermittent leaps.
I often liken today’s Atomicals to the early days of Bitcoin or early blockchain development. Considering the frequent influx of capital in today’s environment, this process will likely accelerate significantly. A great enterprise may take time to mature, but it will eventually succeed. How long will it take for Atomicals to achieve greatness? We will have to wait and see.
Secondly, I always believe that everything depends on human effort.
I have detailed this point in other articles before. Everything depends on human effort, especially in Web3. This is a place for ordinary people, where there is no absolute fairness, but it is a high-dimensional attempt at relative fairness in society.
Here, every person is important, and every action could become a historical turning point in the fast-paced world of Web3. Particularly with token communities, consider this: for any community token you have invested in, if you remove the handful of core builders, does the so-called “narrative” behind the token’s rise still hold? The emergence of a token is often based on a narrative or culture, but in any case, someone needs to articulate it to make it a system.
This is especially evident in small-market tokens. When a token does not have a project team, the power of a small group of builders becomes crucial. This small group of builders represents, to a certain extent, the so-called “project team” of the token.
Since Atomicals is already the most optimal ecosystem in my opinion, choosing to contribute to this ecosystem is in line with my ideal pursuit. With a strong narrative and technical foundation, I strive to ensure that this “elegance” is known to people from a community perspective.
I often think, if Bitcoin had not had its first core evangelists in the early years, would its future have been as certain? Would it have reached where it is today? It’s hard to say.
When I understood the importance of “building,” my first reason for choosing to stay was not solely my own initiative to build, but also because I had seen many people whom I respect, support, and admire putting in the effort here. Working with a group of outstanding builders makes the pursuit of ideals even more attractive.
“Success does not have to be attributed to me, but if there is success, I will certainly have contributed to it.”
Thirdly, the community and the ecosystem always go hand in hand.
If Atomicals succeeds, the rewards for us builders will naturally be substantial.
An outstanding ecosystem will always produce a group of early participants.
Today, every holder and advocate of ARC-20 is not only a future beneficiary of material gains, but also a significant contributor to the history of Atomicals.
Regardless of whether Atomicals is successful, and when it becomes successful, my journey of contributing to Atomicals has been personally rewarding and enriching. When I started, my profile was blank, and now, from simply providing trading advice to promoting and advocating for the entire ecosystem, I have gained a bit of influence. At the same time, I have tried my hand at creating graphics, building robots, creating websites, hosting Spaces, organizing events… Regardless of the investment results, this journey has made me a better version of myself, and I believe that every community builder can relate to this.
As we look forward to the improvement of Atomicals, Atomicals may also be contributing to the growth and progress of each and every one of us. Even as a regular holder, the investment process has allowed me to truly learn and experience the developments and changes in the Bitcoin ecosystem. Step by step, building an ecosystem also unknowingly shapes us. Trying to progress, learn, input, and output—this is a place where effort is rewarded.
As the saying goes: we are all witnesses to history. Today, our identities may be envied by future players in the Bitcoin ecosystem.
Imagine if you were an early participant in Bitcoin. Aside from investing, what else would you hope to do 15 years ago? We are writing history, and in turn, we will become part of history.
These are my three original thoughts on “building.” I believe that many builders in the current ecosystem share similar perspectives. This spirit of construction can only emerge when we are in the Atomicals ecosystem. Often, it may not be the subjective choice of these advocates or developers, but rather Atomicals that is attracting us with its flexibility, authenticity, and purity, ultimately leading us to believe in the native ecosystem of Bitcoin, and to believe that this is an ecosystem that will create and be shaped by the history of Bitcoin.
In my definition, life should have two main items on the to-do list: the pursuit of wealth and the pursuit of ideals. When I chose Atomicals, I almost achieved both.
However, for the general public, especially for those who do not understand or have not participated in the Atomicals ecosystem, what should truly be shared is:
Why do I consider Atomicals a “great enterprise”?
Why do I believe that contributing to Atomicals can result in maximum impact with minimal effort?
And why do I choose to devote myself to Atomicals?
These topics could be discussed for days (in fact, they have been discussed intermittently for several months). Let’s not rush—wait for me to share more in the future, and hopefully, one day these scattered thoughts can form a book (I hope I can stay committed until that day).
If you have read most of my historical articles, you will notice that many of them attempt to introduce new ideas and expressions—despite the fact that they have always revolved around Atomicals. This is because there is so much to discuss about Atomicals. Even now, my drafts still contain at least ten different topics, waiting for me to finish writing about them when I have the energy.
What kind of protocol can make me want to think about it, talk about it, and still have more to say after discussing it? This is the charm of Atomicals.
Keep thinking, keep believing, and keep building.
Finally, I will leave you with a saying that I have recently come to love—
“Welcome to Bitcoin 2.0.”
