Welcome to Polkadot Decoded Week in Polkadot, our regular summary of the latest developments in the Polkadot ecosystem.
Polkadot Decoded is just around the corner, set to take place in Brussels, Belgium, from July 11th to 12th. Regarded as the biggest event on the Polkadot calendar, this year’s international flagship conference will celebrate all things Polkadot and Yayoi Kusama, combining both in-person and virtual experiences. Tickets are still available, and you can check out the full agenda here.
Attendees can expect to hear from 100 speakers and 100 companies across five stages, sharing their expertise, including a keynote speech from Polkadot founder Gavin Wood. Ticket holders of Europe’s largest Ethereum event, EthCC, can register for free.
PolkaBot.AI is ready to answer your questions
The AI-driven educational robot, PolkaBot, is now nearing full release. PolkaBot can answer any questions you have about Polkadot, based on verified sources from within the ecosystem community. Unlike traditional chatbots, it uses AI to build a “decentralized knowledge graph” based on trusted inputs from the Polkadot community, such as verified members’ posts.
Knowledge graphs are advanced databases used by tech giants like Google, Amazon, Facebook, Twitter, and Uber to extract value from user data.
The AI robot is built on OriginTrail, a project that aims to combine the power of blockchain with these knowledge graphs. Unlike traditional chatbots, where it may be difficult to trace the origin of an answer, any output provided by OriginTrail is verifiable, traceable, and stored on the NeuroWeb blockchain. The company claims that this can improve the management, storage, and utilization of data.
OriginTrail’s clients include the British Standards Institution (BSI), the SCAN Association, the World Federation of Hemophilia, as well as EU-funded projects SmartAgriHubs and Swiss Federal Railways. Bob Metcalfe, the inventor of Metcalfe’s Law and co-inventor of Ethernet, serves as an advisor to the company.
$100 million venture capital CEO in conversation with the Polkadot ecosystem
PolkaDot Insider sat down with Max Rebol, CEO and co-founder of Harbour Industrial Capital, to discuss the ways and reasons for long-term investment in the Polkadot ecosystem.
Rebol discussed his expectations for what the Agile Core Time will bring to the ecosystem, the benefits of investing in infrastructure rather than speculation, and why he believes in the future of DePIN startups like Peaq.
The investor also touched on the importance of Asia and why decentralization is about the community, not just the technology.
Substrate integrates Polkadot and Kusama
SubWallet, a non-custodial wallet specifically built for Ethereum and Polkadot, has become the first wallet to integrate the new Polkadot and Kusama bridge.
Users can now transfer their DOT and KSM between the Polkadot Asset Center and the Kusama Asset Center with minimal fees.
SubWallet is available for download on Android, iOS, and most major web browsers.
